Ecological Management Plans

At Crestwood Environmental we have a wealth of in-house landscape and ecology experience. This allows us to design, produce and implement Ecological Management plans for any site. This includes detailed working prescriptions, planting plans and working timetables. All with regard to management of habitats on site to enhance the biodiversity and conservation status of the local area.

Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs)

These assessments are an objective view to identify the significance of the potential impacts of a Proposed Development on species and habitats during an EcIA. This will be based on previous surveys, undertaken in combination with our ecologists’ wealth of experience.

If an ecologist were to find a protected species, that could not be protected from harm, mitigation or avoidance advice would be required for the project’s continuation. At Crestwood we have specialist knowledge in these areas to assist your project’s individual demands.

Invasive Alien Species

We conduct specific surveys for invasive plant species (both aquatic and terrestrial), for example: Japanese Knotweed and Giant Hogweed. This includes advice on management and eradication techniques, whereby plans can also be produced. These species may have been introduced accidentally or deliberately, but come with negative consequences for the new environment. They are defined as invasive alien species due to being outwith their normal environment. Speak to our consultants today for more information.
